How to Install DynMap to Your Minecraft Server?

This article shows you step-by-step on how to install DynMap or similar mod/plugin to your Minecraft Server.

ℹ️

Please maker sure you have the Correct version of DynMap installed before you continue.

How to Install DynMap?

  1. Head over to the Panel and stop the server.

Download the correct version of DynMap for your server version.

  1. Download the DynMap plugin.

  2. Head over to the server's files and open the plugins folder and upload the downloaded file.
    if you are using Forge/Fabric, you'll need to upload it to the mods folder.

  1. Start the server for it to load the plugin to generate the DynMap config file. Once the server is fully started, you can close the server.

  2. Navigate to the Network tab and click on "Create Allocation" to generate a new port for Dynmap. We will use this port for the configuration file.

  1. PLUGINS: If you installed the plugin version of DynMap, open up the plugins folder and open the dynmap folder.
    MODS: If you installed the mod version of DynMap, open up the mods folder and open the dynmap folder in the main directory or in the config folder.

  2. You can now find the file "configuration.txt" from the folder. Open it up and scroll to line webserver-port: 8123. Change this to the port we generated previously.

  1. Save the file and head over to the server's console and start the server.

  2. Done! You can now join the server and DynMap will be installed. You should be able to access your installed DynMap by visiting the site http://yourserverip:yournewport.

ℹ️

It's important to use http:// not https:// before the IP!
